Stolen peace nestled in behind the crook of an arm,
while fingertips tucked in like puzzle pieces to ribs that
gently breathed the release of desolation exhaled.

Hearts weren't right, but beating together,

Walking slowly down the hall, arms filled with the day's mail, we spoke of morbid things. She wants to be reduced to ash and I want to know if I can keep her on my mantle.
